Forum: texts Subject: Google Books blocks me

Google Books often prevents me from downloading (outside the USA), showing a message saying that I look like a virus. Or sometimes it tells me
"Your client does not have permission to get URL ... from this server."
Does anyone have advice how to avoid this problem? After deleting the cookie the problem reappears soon.

The unofficial FAQ has a question about this, using a proxy to get around

Thank you, that is my own answer, but to a different question (the one about books between 1860 and 1923). But probably a proxy is the only way to avoid the blocking.

Oh, hey Victor, I missed that connection, yeah why not Proxy, should work (unless they block it!). Also nice looking page on the Philosophy texts.
